University at Buffalo Alumni Network—Regional Leader

My time as a student at the University at Buffalo greatly shaped who I am today—personally and professionally. When I moved to Chicago, I had the opportunity to become a Regional Leader for the university’s alumni base here. Unfortunately, the pandemic has hindered my ability to truly connect with fellow Chicago alumni in person. As the program’s staff adapts to a new virtual world and digital event planning, I continue to run the Chicago network’s Facebook page in an effort to grow alumni engagement with the network and university. I hope to truly step into my Regional Leader role and plan and hold events, ranging from networking opportunities or happy hours to volunteer days and hikes.

I also serve as an adviser and peer mentor for UB’s Career Connector Network. Through that, I offer advice and guidance to current and prospective students and recent graduates on choosing a major, career opportunities within the communications field, graduate school, and transitioning from collegiate to professional life, as well as reviews and edits on resumes, cover letters, and personal portfolios and mock job interviews.
